Rotterdam Prins Alexanderplein
Prins Alexanderplein is 1 of the 7 city projects of Rotterdam that ensure greening of the city; to make Rotterdam much more climate adaptive and attractive. In addition, Alexanderplein and surroundings form the future center of Rotterdam East, as part of the development of the Alexanderknoop; a large development location (30,000 homes) in the East flank of Rotterdam. The green metamorphosis of Prins Alexanderplein sets the tone for the ambitions, with the planting of 2500m2 of new plants and approximately 50 new trees. 1 of the planting areas in the design also functions as water storage for rainwater. Start of development in 2025.
