Utrecht Hof van Leeuwesteyn
All residences (family homes and apartments for seniors) within this new residential care complex designed by M3H have their entrances located in the communal inner garden. The inner garden works as a green heart, and will be the most important meeting space to ensure social cohesion. Rainwater is collected in a long wadi, and the large amount of native plants ensures great ecological values. The garden is designed for playing, physical exercises, gardening and, above all, for meeting each other.
In collaboration M3H and Jonas Strous (Fu Factory). Commissioned by Woonin and Nijhuis Apeldoorn, in collaboration with healthcare institution AxionContinu, 2021-present.
